Q: I have sensitive skin and/or allergies. Can I use your products?
A: Our primary goal is to make products that soothe, nourish and pamper your skin. We have all of our ingredients listed with each product, so please look them over before purchasing. If irritation does occur, discontinue use.
Q: What is the difference between essential oil and fragrance?
A: Essential Oils are all-natural oils that are derived directly from nature. The word fragrance can mean many things. Natural Fragrance Oils are made of a proprietary blend of essential oils and some contain resins and natural aromatic ingredients. Though these are manmade blends they are 100% natural. Because not all fragrances are found in nature some of our products contain fragrance oils that are partially synthetic, but still contain essential oils. We will only use the highest quality oils and have had these especially formulated for our products. They are free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and glycols. These products are 97-99% natural.
Q: My Whipped Shea Butter melted. Why? And what do I do?
A: Our Shea Butters are whipped in small batches to a beautiful light and fluffy texture, similar to whipped cream. When exposed to high heat or direct sunlight they will melt. Since they are whipped to more than double in volume the jar will look half empty when melted, but it is still the same weight. listed on the front of the jar. When the Shea Butter becomes solid again it can still be used as it has all of the same benefits for your skin, it just won’t have the same texture.
Q: What’s the difference between soy wax and paraffin wax?
A: Soy is a renewable resource. It is a 100% vegetable by-product, not a petroleum by-product. Soy candles are non-toxic and non-carcinogenic. They produce 95% less smoke and soot than paraffin candles. They are an ideal choice for those who suffer from allergies and asthma and are safer for pets. They also burn 30-50% longer and cooler than paraffin candles.

Q: What causes the white marks on my soy candles?
A: Occasionally, white marks may appear on soy candles due to the nature of the soy wax. The tiny, white looking crystals on the tops and sides of jars are called frosting and are very similar to the frosted look on chocolate. This is a natural characteristic of soy wax and should not be treated as a flaw. It does not affect the quality or burn of the candle.
Q: Why does my soy candle look frosty? Is it drying out?
A: No, your soy candle does not dry out. Frosting is a natural characteristic of soy. It is not a flaw. It is strictly unique to pure soy candles. Often times it is called the "bloom". Actually, many customers are concerned if there is no frosting on their soy candles. It is a way that a customer can tell if their candle is really made with pure, all-natural soy wax. It's part of the soy experience! Frosting does not seem to affect the scent throw or the burning properties of the candle. You can safely burn a candle with a bloom without worry. Frosting is a particular crystal growth of vegetable oils. It will cause the candle to look dry, which is simply a characteristic of that crystal structure, but has nothing to do with the candle "drying out". To minimize frosting, try to keep your candle out of direct sunlight and florescent lighting. Even changes in the weather can cause additional frosting. It is almost impossible to stop the soy wax from blooming.
